Half Life 2 Orange Box
I also agree that its a ripoff, I wanted TF2 and Portal, and of course buying those two separately is the same price as the orange box. Already have the rest though, so it's all the same.

Me too lol, i had to choose the engieneer everytime because my conection was so slow, but planting that sentry gun in top of a hallway and watching everyone dying there sure was fun. Then they all came back to try to nock my sentry gun down.
Cant wait to play that either, i hope we can organize some kind of online party and play these games sometime this holiday season.

Half Life 2 Orange Box
I've never liked steam ever since the first time I used it. I bought the collectors edition of halflife 2 and it made me install steam before I could play the game which was a pain. I don't understand why it required me to have an internet connection just so I could install & play the single player mode. Single player games shouldn't require internet connections. They need to sell an edition of halflife 2 that doesn't include steam.

I don't mind steam. Once you activated a game, you can play without internet connection.
I have an issue with Episode 2.
WARNING POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!!!----
Once I'm at White Forest base and the base is invaded I rush to close the second silo door. Once the door is closed, Alex and a vortigon come into the room. As you approach them, I suspect a dialog should play, but instead the game crashes! It's ashame...

Half Life 2 Orange Box
I'm just angry at steam because I have to ask permission to install and play a game that I bought.
Example: I bought the half-life 2 collectors edition installed it with steam and activated the cd-key with steam and beat the game. Well, the computer I installed it on is fried now and steam has a stupid rule that says you can only install on 1 computer at a time so now when I try to install it is says duplicate cd-key. Steam refuses to help me with my issue and keeps sending annoying automated messages in my email. So now if I ever want to play half-life 2 again i'm going to have to rebuy it becuase I no longer have the receipt.

Well that is really odd! The CD Key is linked to your steam account, so if you install steam on a different computer and use your steam login, it should play. I mean, when I bought a new PC I really didn't uninstall steam on my previous PC, also when I format the PC I also don't uninstall steam, I just reinstall anywhere on any PC and it works, as long as it's my steam account.
Perhaps you can do the following: install steam. Go to 'my games'. You will see all the games connected to your steam account. You will also see that some of them are not installed. Now double click and choose to install the game through steam. Now you don't need the CD, and yes, it may take some time to download, but it might work!

Sisko is right. As long as you log into Steam with your account name and password, you can download the game to several PC's. I have done it so I know it's possible. But, I also buy my games thru Steam ( can't stand wasting gas to go to the store, stand in line, all these empty game boxes around, scratched disks, lost CD keys ). Once you buy a game then register it thru Steam, you will always have that game. You just need to download it. Chris.

Half Life 2 Orange Box
It doesn't give me an option to download it to my pc when I login to my account; just a purchase option. I installed it with my half-life 2 disc on my new pc and wont let me play without reactivating the cd key on the new comp but when I do so it says duplicate and wont let me. I guess its not that big of a deal since I already beat it, was just hoping to be able to play it again.
