I have Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl. It is a great game. Kind of like FPS "Oblivion" but with much less RPG element added to it (no stats that could be customized). It is possible to change stats by wearing different armor and artifacts. Also the game has a ton of weapons, but since it is only possible to carry 50 Kg, it becomes necessary to pick what you like and stick with it. The game is very beautiful and it gives a sense of disturbance. Another cool aspect about the game is that it is hard, really hard even on normal mode. As you will soon find out taking cover and constantly being on a move is the only way to stay alive in any gunfire. Example: At the very start of the game i did a few jobs for a guy and then as i was traveling i saw a military outpost under a bridge (blocking the way to anyone). So i believing that i have a great talent in FPS games, decided to take the outpost out, There were about 10 guys. Well withing next 20 seconds i was dead. Later on when i got a better armor and an AK 47 i went on top of the bridge dropped a couple of grenades and barely managed to kill everyone (they did not really know where i was so a group of them went looking into near by ruins and i shot them in the back....dirty but i stayed alive). The game is a great free exploration FPS. The only thing that i do not like atm is the lose story line. I know i need to find this one guy to return my memories, but thats about it. After hours spent in the zone my main objectives become forgotten.
The last thing i got to say is that this game can be scary. During one mission i went underground to look for something. There were bunch of other military guys investigating, blah i killed them all. And then there i am walking and dang i bloodsucker starts attacking me. That thing scared me so much /cry. P.S bloodsucker are invisible and only appear when they are being shot or are attacking. Plus this was the first one that ever attacked me /cry = heart attack.
The game has everything for different FPS players. It can be played stealth style, run and gun (prepare to use a lot of med kits [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]), sniper (also in the underground you will not snipe much) and whatever else.
Plus you ll get a laugh from the jokes that other stalkers tell if you understand Russian. Yey me.
