So im just wondering what the heck happened to this big patch that was talked about for Stalker. Did they just forget all about this game?? Its really to bad, its a fun game but would be even better without the bugs.

i played this some 40x with different patches and mods and vanilla. seen all the endings many times and did a complete play through patch 10005 vanilla master skill level and the long ending..but

it is by far the most buggy and problem game i own.. mp is problems too. and more so if you are on the usa side of the pond.. few or no servers on this side of the world. to play stalker i had to learn a whole new game skill.. baby a game so it does not crash or hard lock or missions not work or what ever.. the mods are buggy too. ha ha mods have to get fixes and most of the mods are basically to try and to correct junk broken or what ever in stalker. and each new patch broke as much stuff as they was supposed to fix. and you never knew what stalker would look like or what ever. patch 1005 the whole game is dark and gloomy. my guess is that was a sneak way to get better performance out of the game..dog it up make it all dark what ever. you never know what the traders would have or sell from patch to patch either. most people i know that own stalker never completed 1x game. and dont care if they ever do. its just the facts. stalker is 50/50 love hate.

you will pull hair out or go off playing it. and of all of my over 1,200 vids on youtube. stalker fans seem to be of the most poor attitude and most all posts on my vids are personal attacks on me.. i just delete and block them these days. i got sick of posting or being nasty. i just tell it like it is. and.

the game is over a year old now.gsc never did what they should or said they would and they know it should have not come to market when it did and it was all hacked up too..it barley worked out of the box saves would not work and some more junk.it sit for over a month until patch 1003 before i played it again..a brand new game.. so im in no hurry to buy clear sky period.. tho stalker is maybe my favorite sp game. to play or love it is like pulling teeth. so.

it makes nice videos. tho i had to record in static lighting.. i can play on high settings and dynamic..but not record.

*** row.. i feel for ya. and ive seen how folks can get nasty with ya because you hold gsc to its word and want stalker fixed and stuff added they say they would or should have been. and it was like 4,000 bug post in the first 10 days it was on the market. and gsc was on dial up servers. it was a riot.if you dont think stalker is the best thing since butter you are a target period.i got baned me self from gsc. i fight back when attacked by fan boys. ha ha.

this is 1 of my oldest stalker videos patch 10003 and faiakes mod 2.2. it was some 30 monsters on this floor and some on the other side of this door. i made this from save after i beat the game.i liked the vid so i posted it. it was recorded with cam studio2 desk top recorder. so its not of the best quality. it was my most viewd video until lately.. stalker hell..>

i uploaded all my stalker play through videos yesterday. i have like 475 stalker videos.. the playthrough starts on the or in the stalker soc playlist from page #4. videos that start with names stlk mas or stlkmas are the play through vids..

youtube only lets ya put 200 vids per play list so carry over to stalker soc b-c etc.

oh ya.. i uploaded the last of my prey play through vids too. both games make nice videos.. and i played both games before my last system upgrade. same basic sig as below just i was not using my audigy or logitech speaker system. and i was using my bfg7800gtoc instead of the evga 88gts ko. soon i will rebuild it again and add my matching 200g sata drive. hmm i will edit my donor sig photo after all done and i am happy with it..so just a text sig for now

There is still no new patch for this game, the last patch they released didn't seem to fix anything.

I wasn't aware this game had multiple endings though, are the endings linked to the difficulty? I only really play on the lowest difficulty and I enjoy that just fine.

The only ending I'm aware of is the one where you approach the Wish Granter and make a "Secret Wish" for The Zone to disappear and it makes Strelok blind instead.

Also, to those finding that the game lags a lot, I did some research and it turns out that you can greatly increase performance by switching the Lighting to it's lowest setting, this makes it less impressive graphically, but MUCH MORE playable, I know those of us with high end systems shouldn't have to disable or tone down the advanced settings, but what are you going to do, it's a badly programmed game.

I enjoy it though, plus the Prequel, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky is coming out towards the end of next month and will use DX10, so it's a good time to have Vista and a DX10 card, looks amazing by the way, check out some Trailers for it, I'll link some later.
