looking for audio driver: HELP!!!
Hi!
I'm looking for the audio driver (the version of this driver in not compatoble. I'm looking for an anterior version (I bought my PC in 2004).
I'm working with windows XP.
The references of my computer (medion) are:
PC: MD41136
audio card: via AC97
south bridge: 8233C
north bridge: via VT 8372
Can somebody help me?!!!!

If you want older drivers, click where it says "Old Drivers" right above the Vinyl Stylus logo. Chris.

Thanks for your quick answer Chris, but it doesn't work.
When you go on "old drivers", there you find a reference for my south bridge (8233C), but after, when you click on it, you get on a page where the south brigdes proposed are not the good ones...

Well, I tried to find more info on your laptop at the Medion site, they say your model doesn't exist. top So I have no idea what driver they suggest, or even if the audio is actually VIA. But the latest VIA driver should work for you. Do you have Service Pack 2 for XP? Chris.

I know, Medion does not know my PC!!!! That's crazy!
To answer your question, I don't think I have the pack2 for XP...

Go to Windows Update and get Service Pack 2. Then have WU scan your PC for hardware updates. It should find the audio drivers that you need. Chris.
