At the moment it's using the grey connection according to the last posters suggestion. The jumper is set to master ( haven't tried cable select on the grey connection. But wouldn't that result in it becoming slave ? Remember reading that somewhere).

Tried cable select earlier just for the heck of it and didn't make a difference.

Currently though I'll go on the assumption that the disc was somehow "damaged" and that the Seagate tools have "repaired" the faults on the disc. Based on this assumption it should work. Just need to get home and try it for real
