Listen to your favorite music and take photos with the inbuilt camera … wondering whether I am talking about the latest cell phone? Not this time. Now you can enjoy these features with your personal gaming device. Japanese gaming giant Nintendo is launching a new version of the DS this year which has a camera and music playback capabilities, along with previous features of dual screen, stereophonic microphone and touch screen technology. Nearby trains and restaurants can also be located via improved Wireless communication. They are planning to launch it in Japan by the end of this year followed by a US release afterwards.

Weird Blog Network has reported recently “Nikkei Net, the online arm of Japan's foremost economic newspaper, reports that the new model will launch this year in Japan and include a camera and music playback. Nikkei's take on the new machine is that Nintendo is moving outside the boundaries of the "game industry" and attempting to create a device that will compete with more general electronics like cell phones.”
