I am really surprised by all the accessories that are being launched every day from third party manufacturers for the 3G iPhone. Apple did miss some features on the iPhone but that gap is being filled by accessories. This time it’s a Bluetooth A2DP Stereo Audio Transmitter from INFINXX. If you are still dissatisfied with Vista, and are thinking about “downgrading” the OS to Windows XP you might want to check this step by step guide written by David Risley from PC Mech. This gives you details on how to install Windows XP without having to reformat your PC.
“The process of downgrading to Windows XP from Windows Vista does take some work, but it is doable. The best way to downgrade is to format and start over. This will mean your system runs as smoothly as it can run when the process is complete. If you do not want to reformat, it is still possible to downgrade but the process is not as clean".

| Google Says the Web is 1 Trillion Pages Long! Monday, July 28, 2008
In a recent blog post, Google has said that the web is a trillion pages long and growing at a rate of several billion pages per day. According to the first Google index in 1998, there were 26 million pages and by 2000 the Google index had reached the significant milestone of 1 billion pages. According to the blog post, over the last eight years, Google has seen tremendous growth in the volume of content out there with Google’s systems now reporting 1 trillion unique URLs on the web.
“We don't index every one of those trillion pages -- many of them are similar to each other, or represent auto-generated content similar to the calendar example that isn't very useful to searchers. But we're proud to have the most comprehensive index of any search engine, and our goal always has been to index all the world's data.” Read the entire blog post here.

| Do You Think Linux Can Replace Windows? Saturday, July 26, 2008
J.A. Watson from ZDNet has done a great job to find out if Linux has reached the level of capabilities where it can beat Windows to entice current Windows users can switch to Linux. When Watson installed the Ubuntu Linux on his test laptop, after conducting several tests, he realized that yes! Linux can replace Windows. “When I saw how easily it loaded (and how quickly!), and how well it worked, I decided to try loading it on my main laptop to see how that would go. When I saw how well that worked, I started to wonder if it might be possible to replace Windows with Linux for an ordinary PC user, such as the ones I am often asked to help with Windows problems. After two weeks of loading a variety of different Linux distributions (but nowhere near all or even most of them!), and configuring, and experimenting, and learning, and talking with my partner and my brother, I would say the answer to that question is a qualified "Yes".” – ZDNet. | By Binod on11/19/2008 7:49 AM
| Hi readers, this is my first blog post on Google Android, a new open source smartphone operating system designed by Google. Till now operating systems for mobiles have been dominated by Symbian OS, Windows Mobile and OS X iPhone. To compete with these mobile OS platforms, Google released their much anticipated Android operating system. When Apple’s iPhone 3G was released it caused a storm in the smartphone segment leading other manufacturers to design smartphones as well, like the Sony experia x1, Samsung Omnia, HTC Touch diamond etc ... (Jai published a comparison of the HTC Touch and the iPhone here). In this tough competitive market it’s not an easy task for smartp ... | | | Comments (0) | More... |

WoW! Need I say more? As most of you may know, World of Warcraft, Wrath of the Lich King was launched late last week, the 13th in the US and the 14th here in Australia (about 10 hours after the US). I must say that I was quite surprised at the turn out at my local games shop. I had no doubt that there would be a lot of people wanting to play the game on a worldwide basis but I was seriously surprised to see more than 300 people at my little local store. Now I’m not anywhere near a city centre, in fact I’m more than an hour away. God only knows what it would have been like in the city! I’ve heard stories of friends in the US who drove around to several stores looking for the opportunity to get the game without having to wait two hours in line. And this is at midnight! | | | Comments (0) | More... |
| | dTunes only for Unlocked iPhones | | From My iPhone
| By Jaishankar on11/14/2008 9:42 AM | |

Have you heard about the dTunes? That’s not a typo, I’m talking about dTunes not iTunes. Even I got confused. I was amazed when I saw the application on one my friend’s iPhones. It is similar to iTunes but the only difference is in the name. So I immediately grabbed the phone and explored the application. The application seems interesting but the only catch is you must have an unlocked iPhone in order to download dTunes. Did you know, Apple has not approved this application because it duplicates a current iPhone feature? So, use it at your own risk! (An unclocked iPhone is an iPhone that has been cracked in order to support cell phone carriers other than the one that the phone ... | | | Comments (0) | More... |
