| OQO video Tuesday, January 09, 2007 Engadget.com exclusively (from what I can tell) filmed a hands-on practical presentation of the OQO Model 2 device that has been unveiled at CES. The OQO is an ultra portable computer, dubbed the world's smallest Vista capable computer. The video on endgadget really makes you 'get' how small it is as it's skillfully twirled around in the OQO reps hand to show the built in HDMI port and the hard drive's ability to detect a fall and park itself. For such a small device it's full of features. | |

| New OQO makes a splash at CES Monday, January 08, 2007 MobilityToday.com reports: "Bill Gates today showcased OQO's next generation ultra-mobile PC, the model 02, in his keynote address at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Weighing a mere one pound and small enough to fit in a pocket, the model 02 is the world's smallest Windows Vista capable computer. The model 02 is up to four times faster and has a display more than six times brighter than its groundbreaking predecessor, the model 01+." The OQO resembles a slightly large palm pilot more than it does the UMPCs of 2006, although in fact it has more features than both product types combined. Engadget.com reports that it features "...1.5GHz VIA processor, 60GB hard drive, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 5-inch, 800x480 pixel display (with active digitizer for pen-based input), Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11a/b/g WiFi, integrated EV-DO (courtesy of Sprint), and even an HDMI-out port." | |
