I am wondering who has got such an idea to modifying a mouse so that it looks more like a hand grenade. Well the website where it has been shown is not in English so I couldn’t get more details about it but I thought I’d post this anyway – cool but terrifying!

To date, graphic designers have been creating magic with Adobe Photoshop on their PC, but now Adobe brings new software for mobile users to enhance what they can do online. Adobe’s photoshop.com mobile allows you to upload, view and share photos from your mobile phone. In the US there is a free download of a beta version for Windows mobile based handsets. For those mobiles which do not support Adobe software, Adobe suggests Shozu mobile phone software. An announcement from Shozu suggested its software supports 350 different cell phones, allowing uploads to photoshop.com. But the absence of cropping, auto fixing exposure and an incompatibility with high powered phones could be a drawback. 
"But more likely, Adobe sees this software as a tool to increase its customers' online activity. Photoshop Express can be used for those sorts of adjustments, although even high-powered phones such as Apple's iPhone can't use it yet. | Microsoft Windows Cloud OS May Release Next Month

Engadget has reported that Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer has revealed some sort of information on Windows Cloud, an upcoming Windows based OS form Microsoft. According to the news, Microsoft may disclose more details on the Cloud OS during the scheduled Professional Developers Conference. I wonder if it’s the Midori project that there are rumours about? (“codenamed ‘Midori,’ is a new Microsoft operating-system platform that supposedly supersedes Windows. Midori is in incubation, which means it is a little closer to market than most Microsoft Research projects, but not yet close enough to be available W… “ [WindowsMidori.net]). “Of course, Ballmer isn't about to get very specific about the OS just yet, though he does seem to be dampening expectations a bit by saying, "just like Windows Server looked a lot like Windows but with new properties, new characteristics and new features, so will Windows Cloud look a lot like Windows Server." | |
| Apple Drops NDA for iPhone Developers

Yesterday, in a post on the official iPhone developer site it was announced that the company has decided to drop the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) for its iPhone developers. Apple imposed the NDA norm in order to protect their work and prevent leaks of the company’s secrets and formulas but now they have decided to relieve the burden of the NDA. Note: Apple is only dropping the NDA for released products; for products which are still under development an NDA will remain until they are released. “We put the NDA in place because the iPhone OS includes many Apple inventions and innovations that we would like to protect, so that others don’t steal our work. It has happened before. While we have filed for hundreds of patents on iPhone technology, the NDA added yet another level of protection. Smart phones may not be so smart where security is concerned. Their use is increasing and at the same rate the security problems are rising too. Mobile Java did a good job once to check malicious code entering smart phones, but now, with so many, features they are more prone to the hackers. If you’re planning to do business with smart phones, take precautions as John Girard from ComputerWorld says, “The more your phone gets like a PC, the more it can host malicious code." 
“Gartner forecasts that wireless identity theft and phishing attempts targeting mobile devices will become more and more prevalent next year. Girard said that before buying large quantities of handhelds for their workers, companies need to be sure that the devices meet a minimum set of security specifications, based on what kind of data the devices will handle and the regulations that businesses need to comply with under data protection laws.” (Rating-4.00) | |

Listen to your favorite music and take photos with the inbuilt camera … wondering whether I am talking about the latest cell phone? Not this time. Now you can enjoy these features with your personal gaming device. Japanese gaming giant Nintendo is launching a new version of the DS this year which has a camera and music playback capabilities, along with previous features of dual screen, stereophonic microphone and touch screen technology. Nearby trains and restaurants can also be located via improved Wireless communication. They are planning to launch it in Japan by the end of this year followed by a US release afterwards. 
Weird Blog Network has reported recently “Nikkei Net, the online arm of Japan's foremost economic newspaper, reports that the new model will launch this year in Japan and include a camera and music playback. | AMD Won’t Repeat the History of Barcelona with Shanghai CPU!

AMD’s first quad-core CPU, Barcelona, was an unforgettable nightmare for the company when it was shipped last September with a bug in the cache memory. This time AMD has announced that their upcoming CPU, Shanghai, won’t be another Barcelona and they’re claiming that they have overhauled their testing process to avoid such issues. Pat Patla, AMD's server workstation group GM said that, “We realized with Shanghai that we'd have to turn out a product early that had the stability and the health to make [server vendors] get engaged," he told reporters in San Francisco. "We realized their experience with Barcelona wasn't ideal." - PC World. | |
