Kontron has something to talk about and it’s already making the news. There has been a great deal of mystery as to what processor Kontron was going to use, but they have made their choice and have announced it to the world!

The nanoETXexpress computer-on-module may be a bit of a mouthful to say but is still the first computer-on-module packed with low power processors, namely the VIA Eden ULV. This gizmo provides a “processing performance and high-end graphics capabilities as well as PCI Express and Serial ATA interfaces on a credit card footprint of merely 55 mm x 84 mm.” Check out the press release.

This UMPC device equipped with a touch screen keyboard seems to have made a big hit for itself, further strengthening the ties between VIA Technologies Inc., Microsoft Corp, and Tablet Kiosk Inc., not to mention their individual standings on the IT market!
