The One Laptop Per Child (or OLPC) project is still progressing with its much publicized initiatives of bringing IT to the less fortunate. The Give One Get One program enables customers to purchase a laptop for about $400 plus shipping and in the bargain pay for one laptop to be sent to a needy child in a developing country. Out of that price, $200 is tax-deductible. This holiday season makes the perfect time for the OLPC initiative to really gather steam. Read all about it. |
