OCC posts up their review of the ZEROtherm Hurricane HC92 Cu 8800 VGA Cooler. It gave them a few surprises when it came out of the box. It makes a fascinating read if you're into the latest and greatest. "It features four heatpipes connected to copper fins with an enclosure over the heatsink that has an alien type look. The top of the enclosure has a grill meant to symbolize the high wind movement in a Hurricane." It looks pretty cool, but how does it perform? OCC takes you there.
The Futurelooks team posted their view of the D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router. It comes equipped "with a built in four port Gigabit switch on the wired side and Draft N wireless capability up to 300 Mbps. They say this is 14x faster than 802.11 G, but by my math, it should only be 5.5x faster (300/54.anyways). It also boasts improved range, up to 6X more range, than regular D-Link 802.11g routers. Getting this range requires the use of one of their Xtreme N wireless adapters, so no Xtreme N on both ends, no Xtreme N range." The review looks fabulously detailed. Check it out.
BurnOut PC is interested in the Calibre P860 Videocard but it could stand a few extra add-ons to raise it to the 'exclusive' standard that the creators advertise. "Performance-wise this video card is very fast right out of the box, the extra 265mb is also a nice feature. You are able to tweak it just a lil bit more over the already highly overclocked GPU and Ram." It has its pros and cons but is generally a good buy. Take a closer look at the performance review.
