Believe it or not, there are some people out there who think blocking ads is unethical. Of course, that would be from webmasters who depend almost entirely on ad revenue to keep their sites running. They take issue with end users making use of all manner of pop-up blockers and firewalls to block out their ad content, thus limiting their appeal to advertisers. PC Mechanic wonders why the end user should be responsible for keeping the site running in this manner. "It is ultimately the responsibility of the web publisher to keep the site going. The onus shouldn’t be placed on the users. Justifying ad-placement by stating that the end users have the implicit responsibility to uphold the site is not within reason." Get the whole story here.
