The trend in the IT world is toward all things green. Okay, maybe not all things. But there is definitely a strong emphasis on changing things around to make it more environmentally-friendly. German researches have found that Irish businesses can make huge savings on electricity and drastically reduce their annual CO2 emissions by simply switching from PCs to thin client network computers. Dr. Hartmut Pflaum says, "While PCs consume about 85 watts on average, thin clients including their server get by with 40 to 50 watts.
