|  | About the VIA pc-1 2500 system The Editor of the viapc-1.com. website talks about his experiences with a sample VIA pc-1 system - systems typically being targeted for the developing world or rural areas of the developed world: "Several months ago I received a sample VIA pc-1 pc2500 desktop system, sporting VIA’s carbon neutral C7-D processor. Initially, my plan was to write up a product review of sorts and publish that in a relatively short space of time. So I installed Windows XP and set it up as my new work computer and began using it for everything that my previous work system performed. Despite the significant difference in the price tag between the two systems (the pc-1 system costs about AU$2000 less), I continued to note that the pc-1 system was capable of doing almost everything that my other system could do. The only applications that the pc2500 didn’t seem to want to perform admirably are some recently released high-end 3D video games. This hardly seemed noteworthy because these machines haven’t been built with a gaming audience in mind, so I continued looking for other differences.
