| Certainly one upcoming game that’s peeked my interests. “Too Human” for the 360 scheduled to be released for August 19, 2008 is currently being developed by Canadian developer Silicon Knights (Makers of Blood Omen) and is set to be the first in a trilogy of games for Xbox 360 only.
The game, set as an Action/RPG genre in the third person will be focused around the character Baldur, son of Odin… Yes that’s right, Odin, as in the Norse God Odin. Yeh I know sounds crazy, but read on gentle reader, read on.
As Baldur, it is your duty to protect all human life from an invasion of machines hell bent on wiping humanity out. The game will feature common Norse figures such as Thor, Odin, Freyja and Loki who view Baldur as not cybernetically enhanced enough thus giving t ... | | | Comments (0) | More... |

| Gaming and Me | |

| Consoles for me has been the pivotal entertainment source for the last 15 years, from battling against Ganon in The Legend of Zelda, to being a stormtrooper in Star Wars: Battlefront. A few consoles, as is a given are the ones that gave me the most enjoyment of all my years of gaming. Starting off, I remember going over to my cousins house playing his NES (Nintendo Entertainment System). The ability to be a real hero, whether it be in Zelda, or a plumbing Goomba hopping Italian named Mario was mind blowing. I suppose I’m in a lucky generation having the opportunity to see computer games evolve the way it has. I’m still chuckling to myself how I got so much enjoyment out of such, as is now. A dull game. A few years down the track I got a SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) which I made ... | | | Comments (0) | More... |

| Technology over the past 20 years has taken amazing strides, bringing new resources to medicine, science, entertainment, social and ergonomic resources, allowing us to go boldly into what is now often referred to as the Digital Era. One of the most booming slices of this era that has been taking advantage of these new strides that we’ve been seeing over the past few years has ben video games. But no… not JUST video games, they’re turning into a lot more than that. They’re turning into a virtual world that gives people the mental freedom to explore their curiosity and adventure. They give participants the unique possibility of exploring their imagination that to which previously was instrumented by board games and books. Crysis, arguably the pivotal turning point of next-gen graphics. It has simulated war and combat like nothing else. It gives players the ability to experience almost every aspect of what it would be like in the hot seat of a special ops soldier. ... | | | Comments (0) | More... |

| Apart from making fans like myself soil their pants, the legacy of Star Wars still lives strong even after Revenge of the Sith. Scheduled for release on September 17, 2008 for Australia on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PSP, Nintendo DS, second-generation N-Gage, and PlayStation 2, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is expected to smash game sale records as the the story line that connects A New Hope and Revenge of the Sith is expanded in the latest game brought forth from LucasArts. The game centers around the mysterious apprentice Darth Vader had during the still largely undiscovered period of the Empire forming its foundations for power. Players will take control of Vader’s apprentice, known as Starkiller, in a third person perspective and are tasked with the mission of hunting down Jedi that escaped Order 66.
