Introduction
I did a test, downloading a 350MB file, using my ADSL2 connection using Internet Explorer. The speed was 240kb/s with an estimated time of 24 minutes. Using FlashGet, which split the file into 7 parts, the speed was 1499 kb/s and the file was downloaded in just 3 minutes, 38 seconds. What an improvement!
