Introduction

PDF is like the universal file format, accepted by Macs, Linux and Windows users. It’s also handy because no one can edit a PDF document. When you save a document as a PDF file, it stays that way, which is why it’s often used for presentations, reports and invoices. In Adobe Buzzword, you can save any file as a PDF.

Adobe Buzzword is and online word processor which allows you to create edit and share documents. An account with Acrobat allows access to the full feature set of Acrobat which includes Buzzword, connect now and create PDF. This article will explore the Create PDF feature. Once your important documents have been created the next step is to convert the document to PDF. When you are creating a confidential document security is a primary concern. Acrobat hits the mark. Instead of saving a document on your PC Adobe Buzzword saves it on a remote server. The completed document can also be converted to PDF and stored on the server with various levels of access allowed, or the completed PDF can be simply emailed.

Using Create PDF you can convert files from Adobe Buzzword to PDF and you can also import files and then convert them and store them on Adobe’s server. Acrobat supports, MS Word (.Doc), MS PowerPoint (.ppt), MS Excel (.Xls), .text(.txt), Adobe Post Script (.ps), image (bitmap, JPEG, GIF,TIFF, PNG), Corel Word Perfect (.wpd), and Open Office and star office, presentation, spreadsheet, graphic, and document files (.odt, .odp, .ods, .odf, .odg, .sxi, .sxc, .sxd). Getting Started

Acrobat.com is the entry point to its services.

Click Create PDF option and enter your email address and password to login.

To convert a file to PDF the file has to be uploaded to the Adobe server first click the upload icon, browse your hard drive and upload the file.

Once the file has uploaded, a confirmation message pops up to declare the status along with the storage status of your account. A maximum of 5 GB can be stored in your Acrobat account. You can convert a maximum of five files for free and later you can sign up for US$9.99 per month or US$99.99 per year. The only drawback is that this service is available only for U.S and Canada consumers.

As I’ve mentioned from your Acrobat account or form your computer documents can be converted to PDF. If you have a file in your Adobe Account, click the radio button from Acrobat.com and drag the file and drop it into the box.

To create a PDF directly from your hard disk (without storing it on the Acrobat server) click from my computer, select the file from your hard disk and click Create PDF.
