FlashGot is one of the most popular download management add-ons available for Firefox. FlashGot can download one link, or all the links on a page together with a single click using the most famous, reliable and lightweight external downloads manager such as: BitComet, Download Accelerator Plus, FlashGet, Free Download Manager, and Fresh Download etc. You must have an external download manager because FlashGot integrates Firefox with these external download managers to download anything. After installing FlashGot 1.0.5, right clicking the mouse on any page offers you many options. FlashGot Link option lets you download single files using the default download manager. The second option, FlashGot Selection catches links in highlighted texts or images and downloads multiple items conveniently and the third option is somewhat groundbreaking. The Fourth Option, FlashGot All captures all the links available on the clicked page and opens the download manager.
The option, FlashGot Tabs grabs all the links from all the tabs and sends them off to the download manager.
The Build Gallery option is a very advanced feature which allows you to grab media from several web pages at once, by setting up a command to search and grab for filename patterns. A website might, for example, have several pages that follow the same pattern of having a video and several images on each topic. With Build Gallery, it’s possible to use the pattern of filenames to create a way to grab all of those media files from several pages all at once.
Before using this option, you need to pay some attention to the following examples, given by http://flashgot.net in order to explain FlashGot functionalities:
Get it here! Fast Dial 2.11 (3,288,643 total downloads)
If you have used the browser Opera, you might have heard of the feature called speed dialing, which allows you to access websites in just a click. In the similar way, the Fast Dial add-on for Firefox lets you to have the same functionality. Once installed, Fast Dial replaces the about blank page with a panel of thumbnails in a grid. To add your favorite websites, just click on a blank grid and enter the website URL, Title and click on OK. I found the main benefit of Fast Dial over Speed Dial (Opera) is that Fast Dial lets you to have up to 100 grids where as Speed Dial offers only 9! In addition, you can easily customize the behavior and appearance of Fast Dial. To customize, just follow these simple steps: - Open a new tab and Right click on the page
- Select Preferences.
- Select appropriate options from General and Appearance tab.
After this, each time you launch Firefox or switch to a new tab, just click on the grid which contains the website you want to visit.
