Your group settings define how your group pages look, who can access them, and what they can see. Via Appearance tab you can upload a default picture to take the place of the conversation bubble graphic, as well as modify the base graphical theme. In this way you can brand your group pages for your organization. Upload your club or organization’s logo so everyone knows they’ve arrived at the right page.
There are ten different themes to choose from when you click “Select a different look.” You can choose any one of these, modify the group picture, and customize fonts to personalize the group pages appearance.
The Navigation tab gives you the option to move around the sequence of pages, and even to hide specific pages. You can use the move up and down arrows to change the order of pages in the navigation menu. Pages can be hidden if you’re working on them or if they’re time sensitive and you can then unhide them when ready.
The Categories tab allows you to choose the proper location for your group. This helps to increase your readership. Users who browse the categories will see your listing in whatever topic and geographic area you choose. You can add your group to multiple categories. Of course, if your group is private then the category doesn’t matter as much.
Management Tasks
The management tasks tab gives you all control over the group. You can remove members, review messages before they post, and review members before they’re added. The features in this section can keep your group lively and spam free. |
