Pages can display any information you think members need to see. A page might show a list of resources regarding your group. It may contain your organization’s policy, mission statement, or member requirements. It may simply expound on your reasoning for starting the group. Google makes it very simple to add new pages and there’s no limit to how many you can have, so far an organization you might have pages cover: About Us, Club Calendar, Contact Us, Newsletters, Club News etc.

  1. From the group dashboard screen, select Add Page.
  2. Enter a title for your page.

  3. Type the content of your page or paste it in from another source. You can use the formatting toolbar to change the look of the page.
  4. Click Publish page when you’ve finished making edits.
  5. When you publish a new page, you have the option to post a message about it to the group. You can choose to skip this option if you want.

Your new page shows up in the dashboard area. You can edit it by clicking the link to the page. You can add as many pages as you need. They appear in your group’s main page view.

Uploading a File to your Group Page

The whole idea behind a group is to share information. For this reason, Google makes it easy to upload files to your group page. These files must be within the scope of 100MB of data, as that’s all Google allots.

To upload a file, click the upload file link from the dashboard, browse your computer, and double click the file you want to upload. The file upload may take a few minutes, depending on its size. Once it uploads it will be listed in the file upload screen. You can upload any file type, as long as you stay within the 100MB space limitation. Members can instantly view and download the uploaded media from the Files page link in the sidebar.
