Recent Quotes

Did you know you can search for stock quotes straight from the Google Search form? Each time you search for a new stock quote, the recent quotes link displays that quote. This tool can help you keep track of stocks you researched during the week.

Quick Tip: To search for a stock quote in the Google web search form, type the stock ticker for the company.

Expanded Company Information

Google Finance really shines when you view all the information available for each stock. Let’s assume you want to know more information about Cisco Systems, Inc. You could research the company and their stock by typing “CSCO” into the search bar.

From this stock information page, you can view historical charts, read news related to the company, see related companies, view and participate in discussions, see blog posts regarding the stock, read the company’s financials, review events, and see the company’s profile, including management personnel.

Google has created a portal to any and all information related to a specific company. Each stock on the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P 500 have these portal pages. The Google Finance stock pages include advanced graphs so you can compare the stock’s history to a comparable stock or simply see its performance over a period of time. Let’s take a closer look at the stock charts.
