This makes my life easier, as I can find everything I need inside one handy webmail account. I’ll show you how to quickly setup Gmail to handle more than one email account. You will need to setup your other email accounts to forward to your Gmail address. This is all very simple through many popular webmail programs, like Hotmail or Yahoo. You can find forwarding instructions under Account Settings in webmail programs like these. Before you set these accounts to forward, you will need to visit the Gmail Settings page, which can be found in the upper right corner of the page. Setup Account for Multiple Emails Select Accounts. Choose Add another Email Address. This should popup a window, where you can enter the new forwarded email’s information.

An email will be sent to your other eamil account. Click on the link within and follow the steps to verify that this is what you want to do. Once this is done you will be able to email people using Gmail, but they will see the email as though it came through your other account. What if you reply using the wrong address? You shouldn’t have to worry about an email going under the wrong account. Gmail has a smart reply feature that automatically uses the email address to which the account was sent. If you are cautious, you may want to check under Account Settings to ensure “When I receive a message sent to one of my addresses” has “Reply from the same address the message was sent to” checked. Otherwise, the default address would be used. Quick Tip: What is the quickest way to organizational bliss? Shortcuts. Gmail has many different keyboard shortcuts, but you have to enable them first. To turn on the Gmail shortcuts, click Settings then select the option next to Keyboard Shortcuts. You can view the available shortcuts on the Gmail Help site. |
