There are six main sections of the Vuze software.

Interface

The Home Page is the main interface which shows your current downloads, finished downloads and a display window to show the Vuze HD network, search results, library, subscription results, friends chat window and the publishing window.

Adding Friends

It will show your login status and the status of any exchanges between you and your friends. It will also display how many of your friends are online and the status of pending friend requests. It will also show the notifications sent by the Vuze network or messages sent by your friends to you. It will also exhibit the detailed search result of any subscription or RSS feed you have subscribed to and give you an option to subscribe to more categories, videos and publishers.

It also has a search dialog box, download, play button and a set of buttons to monitor downloads. These buttons includes a share button, to quickly share a file with your friends, launch button, moving mouse button, start, stop and delete button. You can also modify the arrangement of your results in the form of list or thumbnails.

On the top it has a search tab to browse the contents on Vuze and other torrent sites. The Browse Content Window will allow you to search contents from numerous categories and channels beginning with different broadcasters, producers and private publishers. The search window displays your search results. You can customize the results by selecting refining levels such as by limiting the size level or by searching using a keyword

Browsing the Vuze HD Network

To browse the Vuze HD Network, just click on the Vuze HD network button. The Vuze HD network is an online entertainment platform where the videos, games and audio files are displayed in thumbnail form.

It has numerous categories under each section and then subcategories within them. It also has the option to display the channels related to your selected category. For example, the video section has a Science and Nature category with a sub category of Nature’s Fury and related channels such as Earth Touch, PBS, and Space-Science etc.

Categories

Some of the videos are available to watch by streaming over the Internet while some you need to download first to watch. There are options such as “What’s Hot”, “What’s New” etc to sort clips into most popular, newly added, maximum downloaded and best rated categories.

There are also runtime videos which are available to watch without downloading them. You can filter the runtimes by their total time, such as a search for clips of less than 5 min etc. They are also sorted into free, for sale and for rent categories.  Playing or downloading a video is very simple, you just have to click the play or download button on your selected video.
