Output Options

The lower left section is dedicated to customizing the output profile including various options for modifying the settings of the output. There are four things you can adjust:

 

General: The output folder is the place where all the modified files get stored after the conversion. These files are stored automatically in the Any Video Converter default output folder but it can be changed to any place you want on your computer.

Output duration: This shows the start time and stop time of the video file which is useful when you’re trimming or merging videos. There is also an option to show the status of conversion of all the clips during a batch file conversion.

Video options: The video settings include a wide range of options such as modifying the video codecs, size, bitrate and framerate. This allows you to customize the output according to your requirements, meaning that you can create the files so that they support the devices you want to play them on etc.

My cousin’s cell phone doesn’t support Mpeg4 format, for example, while my iPhone only supports Mpeg4. The support for different codecs makes Any Video Converter more useful than it would otherwise be. For example, for customizing avi movie format, it supports 12 codecs.

You can also choose a preference for the output video size. You can increase or decrease the file size. You can also choose high definition output format, but of course that would increase of the video size.

The bitrate of a video gives you an idea about the amount of information stored in the video. As the bitrate increases, the clarity of the video increases too.

The framerate is responsible for refreshing the frames in a video. Videos which have lot of fast moving action will need a higher framerate to maintain good quality.

Audio options: Similar to the video options, you can modify the audio settings too, with the choice to select between various audio codecs, bitrates, sample rate, audio channel and audio/video synchronization. You can also opt for disabling an audio track in a video’s output.

I have used previous versions of Any Video Converter which lacked these options for the conversion of audio files but the current version boasts a lot of new audio format support such as .mp3, .aac, .ogg, .wav, .wma. Similar to the video bitrate, the increase in audio bitrate enhances the clarity of the video. The increase in audio sample rate will also result in better clarity.
