The Image Editing button will open the image editing window where an image can be edited, cropped etc. In the image editing window you can crop or cut out parts of an image in virtually any shape you want. So you can cut out a circle in the top left corner or you can crop out someone’s face so that you are left with just a circle with their face in the middle.

The shape choices range from rectangle, square, ellipse, circle, rhombus, polygon etc. The Autotrace option is also there which allows the color range to trace the area of selection. If you want to crop only a particular portion of an image then with the help of the autotrace tool, you can select the part using its color range. For instance, if you want to crop image of your teen daughter from her school group photo then you can use the autotrace tool to crop only her image.

You can choose to select none or all of an image or you can inverse the selected area. You can play around with the shapes and selection and if you make a mistake just hit the reset option. While editing a particular image you are allowed to add or remove another image anytime. You can also highlight a selected part of the image with the help of the Zoom button. Or, suppose a part of your photo is damaged? You can hide it by using the blur option or completely delete the unwanted part of the image with the delete button. You are allowed to undo or redo any of your steps in the middle of editing, anytime.

Aside from access to all these fun features, there’s also the standard sort of buttons you’d expect:

  • New button - to open a new file
  • Save button - to save the final edited image to your computer
  • Print button - to print the final image. You can select the number of image copies in a row and column and can set the horizontal and vertical margin of the print copy.
  • The Email button - to directly email the edited images.
  • Help button - will open the help menu of the PhotoBuilder. The help section is comprehensive and very helpful. It includes a fully fledged guide which helps you through every step in PhotoBuilder.
  • The system settings can be modified and changed directly with the help of the Settings button. For example, you can set folders on your hardware to be the albums for the backgrounds, cookies and frames. You can also choose an image on your hard drive to set as your default background paper.
  • If you have the trial version and want to upgrade to the paid version then the Registry button will help you out.

Zoom panel: This magnifies the Draw panel. The zoom ratio ranges from 10% to 100% with a choice to select various levels of automatic zoom such as Fit Draw Panel, Fit Width, and Fit Height. These options could prove very useful when you need to reduce or highlight a cookie or a particular part in an image. Moreover, if you are working on a small detail, you'll find the Zoom panel very handy.
